To claim the K12 Prize for School Champions, teachers should:
1) Log into spellingbee.com.
2) Click “The powerspeak12 Prize for School Champions” tab on the left side menu.
3) Click the yellow button entitled "Print Prize Certificate/Redemption Form."
3) Type the champion’s name and school in the boxes and click submit. Print the certificate and redemption form.
4) Give the certificate and redemption form to the school spelling bee champion.
The redemption form instructs the school spelling bee champion to visit powerspeak.com/bee to redeem his/her prize.
Two champions—Rebecca Sealfon (1997) and George Thampy (2000)— were home-schoolers at the time of their championships. Sean Conley (2001) attended private school during the year of his championship, but in previous years had received his education at home. Evan O'Dorney (2007) was a charter school student who received much of his education at home.
