2006 Audio Paideia

   

 

2006 Audio Paideia is a comprehensive recording of national finals pronouncer Dr. Jacques A. Bailly pronouncing each word in the 2006 Paideia and giving a brief definition. Words are presented according to their order of appearance in 2006 Paideia categories, and categories are presented according to their order of appearance in 2006 Paideia.

How to Use 2006 Audio Paideia

1. Download and install the FREE RealOne Player.

2. Click on any one of the 26 links below. If you have installed RealOne Player correctly, your computer will launch the RealOne Player plug-in and begin playing the audio file.

3. Use 2006 Audio Paideia as a study tool in any one of the following ways:

  • Listen and learn.
  • Test yourself. Listen to Dr. Bailly pronounce a word and define it. Press the pause or stop button in the RealOne Player window. Write down your spelling. Press the play button in the RealOne Player window to resume the audio stream. Repeat the process for as long as you desire, or until Dr. Bailly presents all words in the category. Using the 2005 Paideia, check your spelling.

PLEASE NOTE:

Many words have two or more acceptable pronunciations. Further, many words can be defined in more than one way. However, in presenting 2006 Audio Paideia, Dr. Bailly gives only one pronunciation and definition for each word.
