Ashwini is a recipient of her school’s "Student of the Year" award. Math is her favorite subject in school, and
earlier this year she participated in state-level Mathcounts competition. She plays viola and won a top rating
in a string ensemble contest. A frequent visitor to India, she speaks Marathi and Hindi. Ashwini participated
in the 2003 and 2004 national finals.
