Dovie has won several awards for his know-ledge of general and Judaic subjects, and he has participated in
his county’s Mathcounts competition. He is currently writing a novel, which he has entitled "Jonathan of the
Red Corps." Dovie has a special fondness for animals, especially horses. Dovie tied for 47th place in the
2004 national finals.
