Aliya plays violin and piano and is a member of two orchestras. She swims competitively and also enjoys tai chi, diving,
gymnastics, ballet, and Indian dance. Aliya placed first in her grade in the two most recent Sandia Go Figure Mathematical
Challenge competitions. She has won several awards for her performance in Mathcounts events and creative writing contests.
